Peninsula Music Peninsula School of Music 2010 Music Scholarship Peninsula Music and Peninsula School of Music is a music school located on the Central Coast Peninsula at Woy Woy. We would like to give a special gift back to the community to say thank you for your support and we are offering a music scholarship in 2010 to a student who is keen to advance their music knowledge and ability. This scholarship is valued at over $1,000.00. The successful student should have the following:- A keenness to advance their music skills through study and practice. Be under the age of 19 and still attending Primary or Secondary School in 2010. Currently learning (or have the ability) to play one of the following musical instruments – Classical guitar, Contemporary guitar, Violin, Piano or Singing. Be prepared to sit exams for their chosen instrument at a level their teacher feels that they are ready to achieve. Be committed to attend classes on a weekly basis at Peninsula School of Music, Woy Woy. Have parents who are willing to support their commitment to the music scholarship. Live on the Peninsula or neighbouring suburbs. Be prepared to become involved in projects and workshops organised by Peninsula School of Music throughout 2010. The Scholarship:- One weekly lesson during 2010 commencing 19th April, 2010 to be held at Peninsula School of Music – 48 Ocean Beach Road (corner of Rawson Road), Woy Woy 2256 Exam fees for AMEB exams to be sat in 2010/2011. Books, music and papers required to complete exam work. Some other information:- Applications close on 22nd March, 2010. Interviews will be held between 29th March and the 1st April 2010. Applicants should be prepared to attend an interview if requested and perform up to 2 pieces of music / songs. Applicants should be prepared to answer a selection of general questions about their music, ambitions, influences and attitude with a panel of selectors. The successful applicant will be announced by the 10th April 2010. The successful applicant will be chosen by a panel of teachers and staff from the school, who may or may not necessarily be in attendance at the interviews.
